Climate of the Coral Reef
A coral reef has plenty of sunlight and maintains a constant warm environment all year round. This particular biome has two seasons that include the summer and winter period that respectively receive a higher or lower amount of rainfall compared to the average (166.83mm per month). The Great Barrier Reef's winter occurs in the months from May to October while the summer occupies the remaining ones from November to April.

From the table above we can clearly see the effects of both the dry winter and wetter summer do towards climate and rainfall. During the winter season, the percentage of humidity (amount of water vapour in the air decreases because of the reduced rainfall during these months.
